OK, so we love
mud. While we have promoted monster trucks, arena cross, FMX, demolition
derbies, tractor pulls, ATV races, pro stadium truck races, concerts, and are
probably leaving something out, we always come back to mud. Team
Motorjam loves mud. With that being said, welcome to the 10th annual
Great Texas Mud Race!

Welcome to the 10th annual Great Texas Mud Race! While Team Motorjam actually produced their first indoor event in 2001, including sand drags, the Great Texas Mud Race was held for the first time in August of 2004 and has continued to grow into one of the largest mud racing events in this part of the country.
With that being said, we are looking forward to a an awesome 10 year anniversary in 2013! We have plans for improved safety features at the track itself, and much needed consolidating of classes. In order for this event to continue, we had to scale back the number of classes. This is a very positive thing for both fans and competitors alike. Many hours of examining all classes were put in in an effort not to eliminate any competitors from a chance to compete. Many trucks were making as many as four passes, which is just not an exciting thing for our spectators, whom without we would not be here. We were losing our fans due to the late hours, and our racers were also getting tired of watching 17 different classes run, especially when it was just many of the same trucks over & over. Nothing wrong with getting to run in at least 2 classes if possible, but beyond that it gets tiresome on fans & racers alike.
Also, while safety is always first priority, we cannot continue to have the same classes run last each night. We owe it to the fans to be able to see a little of everything prior to it getting too late. We will have the equipment and operators there to re prep track if that's what has to happen in order to put on a quality & safely ran show.
REGISTRATION WILL OPEN AT 1PM ON FRIDAY *** REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 5:30PM FRIDAY *** MANDATORY DRIVERS MEETING AT 6PM *** RACING AT 7PM!
*If you have problems on the road and will be late arriving, you MUST communicate with someone in your class, and or contact us so you can be registered prior to the 5:30 deadline. Help us by doing your part in making GTMR X the smoothest running, and most professional event to date! Thanks!
*RACERS, PLEASE READ -
Thanks to the racers that are communicating
with us regarding this years event. The one thing we have got to
remember, the Great Texas Mud Race is a one time a year annual event,
now in it's 10th year, which we are very proud of. It attracts
racers from all over the country, racers that run by many sets of
rules. Lord we have at least 4 different sets of rules in a 200 mile
radius of Nacogdoches, and then we have many teams from other states
that have supported this event for years, that are of course running by
rules from their home track. This makes it very difficult to put on a
race of this size, with the guaranteed payout we have, and have every
vehicle in 100% compliance. And as long as it is not a performance issue
that would give you an unfair advantage for the class you are wanting
to enter, or a safety issue, give us a call if you are seeing a possible rule issue that would prevent you from running, when you have run with us in the past. There are updates in these rules, that were not in place in 2012, and we can possibly work through any of the smaller issues, especially considering this is the only time each year many trucks run by these rules.
This being said, please call Kipp or myself, our
numbers are on the rules/payout info and communicate if you see
something has changed from last year that could possibly prevent you
from running this year. While we feel the rules we are running are good,
especially where the safety issues are concerned, we realize there are
many trucks that have supported this event for years, and we intend to
do everything possible to keep that support. So far most of what we are
hearing are minor things that we can work through.
No one set
of rules are perfect. but if that does ever happen, I hope everyone
adopts them and runs by them, it would be like butter!!!
See everyone in August at GTMR X!!!
